In the great tradition of British end-of-the-pier pointlessness, Mr. Lobby Lud hales from the imaginary coastal resort of Regis-on-Sea. Although he aspires to play the tuba whilst riding the bicycle, Lobby Lud is more often seen clutching a ukulele and attempting to hide behind a screen of kazoos and a veneer of respectability. Nobody is fooled. Nowadays he is backed by a splendid bunch of chaps which Mr. Lud has modestly dubbed The Luddites.
Stuart O’Connor has been full time touring internationally since 2006. He slowly built up a live rig which incorporated many instruments into the world of live looping. Since 2013 he has been touring with Asmara Cimignolo who has joined him round Europe and will be bringing her Piano as a back bone to the loops.
With touring history of over 2000 shows (1000 of them outside the UK) Stuart has remained independent but hardworking sharing billings with Damien Rice, Billy Cobham, The Staves, Ocean Colour Scene, Mad Professor, Cocco (Japan), Little Bushman (New Zealand), Ed Sheeran, James Bay, Easy Star All Stars, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Ed Tudor Pole, and Chas & Dave. To name a few.

The Dirty Fairies began their journey as an all-girl 3-piece band consisting of twin sisters Lisa (bass/vocals) and Natalie Martin (guitar/vocals), and Kelly Kennedy Scates (drums). They play their own tunes, a combination of genres influenced by Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, and The Meters. More recent additions to the band have been Lou Woodger on flute, and Nik Vaughn on percussion and keys, and some special guest brass musicians from around their home county of Essex.
Currently writing new tracks, and having released their first ever video ‘Serpentine’, this now 5-piece (and growing) band are taking a break from recording to join us again for the festival rounds.
Jacksons Warehouse acoustic project is a laid back folky showcase of Basildons longest running band, bringing acoustic reworks of old songs as well as brand new material.
One man, one guitar, one stompbox, one hell of a party!
Doozer McDooze wears his heart on his sleeve, places his tongue in his cheek and opens his emotions to the listener. Thrumming his guitar with a rhythmic energy that demonstrates little concern for the guitar’s safety and total commitment to the music, he reveals the fragility at the heart of his world view.
