We’re either the loudest ambient group in the world or the quietest stoner rock band. The Wolf Number are Jack Burton on guitar, Kevin Fry on drums, and Kemal “Oz” Ozkoruyucu on bass.
We may set up like a traditional rock power trio, but our music reflects a shared love of bold, experimental artists from many genres. The swaggering, cosmic riffs of psychedelic rock mix with jazzy trip-hop grooves and ambient post-rock noise to create songs that lead the audience through different atmospheres and moods.
The Majestic are a London based 5-piece band with a unique brand of roots-rock reggae delivered in a whacky visual sing-a-long style. The present lineup has been together since late 2010 but their roots spread much longer.
They play at a number of festivals including Cosmic Puffin, Boomtown Fair, Sheffield Tramlines, Penn, Summer Breeze and Summer Saturnalia to name a few. The season culminates with headlining the Zion Festival in Malta.
One of the Top 20 must see bands at Camden Rocks 2018.
Formed by Derby brothers Johnny and George Marriott, PET NEEDS play fractured party music. Imagine a bar fight between Art Brut, Against Me! and La Dispute. It’s like that. With explosive live performances of singalong anti-anthems, PET NEEDS are currently smashing sets on stages throughout the UK, screaming stories of chance meetings, self-destruction, perceived freedom, lampposts and woods. “Scrunchy melodic rock n roll… right up my street!” said Steve Lamacq.
LaVendore Rogue (pronounced LAV, as in ‘toilet’, END, as in ‘not the beginning’, ORE, as in ‘iron’). Nobody knows what the name means, but what is clear is that LaVendore Rogue is one of the most exciting bands to emerge on the UK Roots scene for many years.
The band consists of three ex-Hokie Joint members; multiple-British Blues Award nominees and winners JoJo Burgess on vocals, Joel Fisk on guitar and Stephen “Cupsey” Cutmore on drums, as well as James Payze on bass and Warren Lynn on keyboards.
Electric Cake Salad are an alternative/electro/rock band from the Midlands. The trio are Steve Gianolio-Jones (guitar, vocals, programming), Rob Leaver (bass) and Mick Morrell (guitar, backing vocals) and the band are signed to Flicknife Records.
Regular faves of the festival scene, they have also recently been seen on stage throughout the UK and Europe as support to Jesus Jones, Hawkwind, Psychedelic Warlords and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
Shooty and the Bang Bang are a 4 piece rock band based in North Essex that love playing live and putting on a show for our fans. We aim to write modern riff based tracks with sing along choruses with a wall of guitar and bass behind them. You can often find us playing in venues around North Essex or in and around the home counties. Check out our Facebook page for details of all upcoming events, shows and festivals that we will be appearing at this summer. Anthemic rock drops, the best Colchester band since Blur.
